3. Cookies

Accepting cookies is not a prerequisite for visiting our website. However, we would like to point out that our website and services will have limited functionality if you do not allow us to set cookies.

3.1 What are Cookies?
Cookies are small files that are stored on your data carrier and save specific settings and data for exchange with our system via your browser. Basically, two different types of cookies are distinguished: so-called session cookies, which are deleted as soon as you close your browser, and temporary/persistent cookies, which are stored on your data carrier for a longer period or indefinitely. This storage helps us to design our services for you accordingly and facilitates your use by, for example, saving certain entries from you so that you do not have to repeat them constantly.

3.2 Are there also third-party cookies (so-called Third-Party Cookies)?
magnetic uses some third-party providers who help make the online offering and websites more interesting for you. Therefore, when you visit the websites, cookies from partner companies are also stored on your hard drive. These are temporary/persistent cookies that automatically delete themselves after the specified time. These temporary or persistent cookies (lifespan 14 days to 10 years) are stored on your hard drive and delete themselves after the specified time. The cookies of our partner companies also contain only pseudonymous, mostly even anonymous data.

3.3 How can you prevent the storage of cookies?
In your browser, you can set it so that the storage of cookies is only accepted if you agree to it, thus preventing further setting of cookies in the future. If you only want to accept magnetic cookies but not the cookies of our service providers and partners, you can select the setting “Block third-party cookies” in your browser. Generally, the help function in your web browser’s menu bar will show you how to reject new cookies and disable already received ones.

4. Web Analytics

To continuously improve and optimize our offering, we use so-called tracking technologies. For this purpose, we use the services of Google Analytics.

4.1 Google Analytics
This website uses Google (Universal) Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (www.google.at). Google (Universal) Analytics uses methods that enable an analysis of your use of the website, such as so-called “cookies,” text files that are stored on your computer. The information generated about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. By activating IP anonymization on our services, your IP address is truncated before transmission within the member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. The anonymized IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. You can prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (incl. your IP address) and from processing this data by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link:
http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.
Alternatively to the browser plugin, you can click this link to prevent Google Analytics from collecting data on this website in the future. An opt-out cookie will be placed on your device. If you delete your cookies, you will need to click the link again.

5. Secure Data Transmission

Your personal data is securely transmitted by us through encryption. This naturally also applies to your order and account login. We use the TLS (Transport Layer Security) or SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption system. Furthermore, we secure our websites and other systems through technical and organizational measures against loss, destruction, access, alteration, or dissemination of your data by unauthorized persons.

6. Links to Other Websites and Social Media

Links to other websites are provided for informational purposes only. Other websites are beyond our control and do not fall under this policy. When accessing other websites via the provided links, data about you may be collected by the operators of the respective websites, which may then be used by the operators in a manner that may differ from our policy, in accordance with their respective privacy policies.
On some pages of our website, content, applications, or plugins from third-party providers may be made available that track your use of content, applications, or plugins and/or optimize your use of content, applications, or plugins. For example, if you share an article with others via a social media share button (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, or Google Plus) on our website, this process will be recorded by the social network that created the button.

7. Online Presences in Social Media

We maintain online presences within social networks and platforms to communicate with active customers, prospective customers, and users there and to inform them about our services. When accessing the respective networks and platforms, the terms and conditions and data processing guidelines of their respective operators apply. We process user data if they communicate with us within the social networks and platforms, e.g., by posting contributions on our online presences or sending us messages.

8. Google Fonts and Google Maps

We integrate the fonts (“Google Fonts”) and maps from the “Google Maps” service provided by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. The processed data may include, in particular, IP addresses and location data of users, which are, however, not collected without their consent (usually obtained through the settings of their mobile devices). The data may be processed in the USA. Privacy Policy: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/,

9. Data Retention

We will not retain your data longer than necessary for our business purposes or due to legal requirements. However, we would like to point out that we may retain some data even after you have closed your account with us, e.g., if this is necessary to fulfill our legal obligations, such as for the retention of data for tax and accounting purposes.

10. Information on Legal Remedies

You generally have the rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection. For this, please contact us.
If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law or that your data protection rights have otherwise been infringed, you can lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority. In Austria, the Austrian Data Protection Authority, Wickenburggasse 8, 1080 Vienna, is responsible.
